If you’re a Sprint customer, live south of the Mason-Dixon line, and/or happen to live in the land of cowboy hats and pickup trucks, then today’s your lucky day.
Sprint’s been in the midst of a major network transition that involves leaving 4G WiMax behind in favor of the more widely adopted 4G LTE network technology. Today they’ve announced the first four areas to get LTE. Customers in the Texas cities of Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio should expect it, as well as folks in Atlanta, Georgia.
These four markets are expected to get fully setup for LTE in the first quarter of 2012, and with a potential headliner device like the Galaxy Nexus, we could see many people being jealous of their southern Sprint brethren.
