The Droid 3 got a surprisingly quiet launch for what’s supposed to be one of Verizon’s flagship handsets. Dual-Core, 2 cameras and with a far better keyboard than it’s predecessors, it had almost all the trappings of a high end handset: It’s missing Verizon’s 4G LTE network access.
Still, for Verizon QWERTY fans, this remains the most powerful handset available, and with the Droid 4 around the corner, I wanted to see if the Droid 3 would make a solid budget buy for someone who didn’t mind not having 4G connectivity.
Embedded is the Droid 3’s unboxing. It was shot using the Stratosphere review unit but others will be done with a better camera.
